Pennsylvania law classifies the intentional killing of an unborn human child as either murder or voluntary manslaughter. Title 18, Chapter 26 defines it in the following way:
§ 2603. Criminal homicide of unborn child.
(a) Offense defined.–An individual commits criminal homicide of an unborn child if the individual intentionally, knowingly, recklessly or negligently causes the death of an unborn child in violation of section 2604 (relating to murder of unborn child) or 2605 (relating to voluntary manslaughter of unborn child).
(b) Classification.–Criminal homicide of an unborn child shall be classified as murder of an unborn child or voluntary manslaughter of an unborn child.
However, it provides the following non-liability clause related to abortion:
§ 2608. Nonliability and defenses.
(a) Nonliability.–Nothing in this chapter shall impose criminal liability:
(1) For acts committed during any abortion or attempted abortion, whether lawful or unlawful, in which the pregnant woman cooperated or consented.
(2) For the consensual or good faith performance of medical practice, including medical procedures, diagnostic testing or therapeutic treatment, the use of an intrauterine device or birth control pill to inhibit or prevent ovulation, fertilization or the implantation of a fertilized ovum within the uterus.
(3) Upon the pregnant woman in regard to crimes against her unborn child.
In other words, abortion is (rightly) classified as murder, where an individual intentionally causes the death of an unborn child. However those involved are permitted to murder the child, not being liable to criminal punishment. Abortion in Pennsylvania can therefore be classified by our own statutes as legalized murder.
The key question is whether or not the child is wanted by his/her mother. If a son or daughter is unwanted, the mother is free to murder her child without repercussion. If the child is wanted, then anyone who does murder the child will be liable to punishment.
This of course is a double standard. If a mother kills her child after birth, it is a crime punishable as first degree murder. A parent or guardian is required by law to even feed and care for a child at his/her own expense, or be liable to punishment for child abuse; however if the child is still inside the womb, the he/she can be murdered, as long as Mom consents.
This is insane. At the time of this writing, 5265 deaths attributed to COVID-19 have occurred in Pennsylvania, and we’ve shut down our very way of life to protect the born people who are at risk. In 2017, 31,260 Pennsylvanians were murdered through abortion, under the protection of law, and we barely noticed it. The reason for this is that we care about born people, viewing the death of even one as a tragedy. However preborn people are expendable and irrelevant, if they get in the way of our own prosperity and happiness.
This is called “ageism,” where we view one class of people as having fewer civil rights than another class of people on the basis of their age. It is similar to racism, which we saw in our own country when African Americans were viewed as having fewer civil rights than European Americans. It wasn’t actually, factually true that africans were less valuable than europeans, but because the culture widely accepted this form of discrimination, it was embedded into our laws, and even our own U.S. Constitution. In the same way, abortion has become embedded in our own laws as decriminalized murder, because of our widespread discrimination against preborn children.
The word of God plainly shows us that the reason it is wrong to kill innocent human beings is because we are created in the image of God.
And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.
Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image. (Gen 9:5-6)
The image of God in mankind is what makes us different from the animals; it is what grants us human rights. If we say that a child has the right to life only if her mother loves and wants her, then life is no longer a “human” right. It is no longer given to us because of what we are, human beings created in the image of God. Rather, the rights we have are given by other people — such as parents and the civil government — people who can take them away at a whim.
This is why the founding fathers opened the Declaration of Independence by defining certain rights from God as being “unalienable,” meaning that they cannot be taken away by other men and women.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men.
In legalizing murder, Pennsylvania government has forfeited its most basic, foundational purpose — to secure the rights of those human beings who are being threatened, oppressed and destroyed, such as those being murdered by their parents. Therefore, one of the foundational purposes of my candidacy is to restore the rule of law in Pennsylvania by restoring protection for all people, even those who are inconvenient or unwanted.
My Platform: REPENT
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. (Jhn 3:16-19)
